英会話

・Learning a foreign language should be exciting and interesting. Therefore our lessons are fun and interactive. As communication is the key element of our curriculum, games are an important part of our syllabus as they encourage our students to communicate and express themselves with confidence.　As students progress there is an increasing expectation of spoken accuracy.

外国語学習では、楽しく学習するということが大切です。ＪＳＢの英会話授業は、先生やクラスメートとの関わりの中で楽しく学ぶことができます。コミュニケーション活動をカリキュラムの中心に据え、子どもたちが自信をもって自分の思いを表現しコミュニケーションをはかれるように、ゲーム的な活動を幅広く取り入れています。上達するにつれて、子どもたちは正しい英語を話すことができるようになります。
 

・Our classes also offer the opportunity of discovering different aspects of British culture: cooking, festivals, traditions, holidays, etc.
 

また、料理、お祭り、伝統、祝祭日などの観点から、様々なイギリス文化に触れる機会も設けています。

 

・In addition to daily life situations e.g. shopping and asking for directions, we include topical elements such as the environment, animals, places and transport. Students write and perform their own plays to consolidate the language they learn.
 

買い物や道案内などの日常の生活シーンに加えて、環境、動物、地域、交通などの話題も取り上げます。子どもたちは、学んだ表現を使って台本を書いて、劇を演じたりします。
 

 

・We help students prepare for different exchange programs when required.

様々な交流プログラムの準備のお手伝いもします。

 

・Particular attention is given to those students who join classes at different times in the year.

特に年度途中転入児童生徒には配慮をしながら授業を進めていきたいと思っています。

 

・We encourage our students to try to use English whenever possible outside school.

子どもたちには、学校の外でもできる限り英語を使うことを奨励しています。

 

What about reading?
リーディングについて

 

・There is a varied selection of English books for students to take out from the school library.

学校図書館には、様々な英語の本を取りそろえており、借りて家で読むことができます。

 

What about writing?
ライティングについて

 

・Our classes are based on coversation and the role of writing varies depending on the level. Where appropriate, writing is used to extend the syllabus.

私たちの授業は会話に基づいており、ライティングについてはレベルに応じて、様々な形で取り入れています。発展的な学習として必要であればライティングも取り入れます。
